    Lack of leadership/vision

Got to laugh at this funny guy Prentice blaming Alberta's financial woes on all Albertans. Couldn't possibly be because of the culture of entitlement, lavish spending and no financial planning by the Cons after 43 years in power.
Scolding the citizens to prepare them for a budget cutting agenda yet quite clear already that increasing corporate taxation or increasing oil royalties is out of the question.
I guess it can be blamed on all Albertan's that they have been allowed to govern for so long. Glad to be leaving soon.

Pretty fine line between taxing and royalting the shit out of a company which makes them unprofitable so they go somewhere else or never start and all those high paid employees never existed and never paid tax themselves then you are worse off

Next year you will be winning about the NDP and wishing you were in Alberta.

So I guess nobody is interested in addressing this Government waste/lack of vision and mismanagement of the economy?
Funny that because you usually all have plenty to say about these stereotypical "socialist" failings - guess they get a free pass if they bear the name Conservative. How shallow.

If you're headed to Manitoba you'll wish you had a anything but who they have for government. Not saying Alberta government is perfect by any means but trust me Manitoba is far worse. Unless of course you have an NDP way of thinking.

Cotton I know I will get holy old shit but here goes anyway,There is no business run as eneficantly as the oil biz not even gov. I have worked in and live in and around oil and it would make a grown man cry to see how they do things. Take a new D7 app $500,000, $240/hr 2000 hr per yr in less than 2 yrs paid for and still worth $300,000, track hoes even better return If you get the work it all turns to gold, jelous mabey and then mabey I would just like a level field to play on. We all have to make a living somehow.
Sure they pay big wages so the gov can tax the employes kind of like the local coop charging 25% more at purchase and paying 5% back in divs, does that make sence?
The gov takes its royalties on profit not on wellhead so sure you can pay the boys all you want because technily thats gov money anyway
As for gov I reaLY HAD HOPED FOR A NEW GOV TO BOW TO BUT i GUESS OIL DONT WANT A NEW SO WE WILL ALL DIE UNDER THE cON THUMB, IS THAT ALL BAD,NO BUT THAT DONT MAKE IT ALL GGO EITHER. Sorry fat thumbs.

maybe they should do what they did in Minnisota, gov balanced the budget in a short time by increasing the taxes on the rich and the corporations. Did not hurt the economy at all. Some one has to pay sooner or latter.

"It's all your fault", shouted Jimmie, as he whizzed by in his vintage 56 T-Bird that he bought at Barrett-Jackson in January as lay offs begin to escalate throughout Alberta's oil, gas and construction industries.

Prentice needs to mandate the railways to move more oil!!! It's in the best interest of the province goddammit

Or u could always keep the annual rental of surface leases on crown land. Instead of giving it to the cowboys. Or should I say buying votes with it
