    new crop wheat basis

Assuming average bushels. I have to bag it. Also overlooking grade risk. Local terminal offering $.30/b basis. #2 13.5
I'm tempted on a percentage. Nuts?

Your post doesn't indicate plus or minus.

But either way current new crop down south are minus 50us cents a bushel.

    Better jump on it.

.....and here we go again, any indication of premiums or discounts written into the contract? Do you have numerous delivery options in your back yard? What if one of your other delivery options is grading your sample better?  Why does there have to be a specific grade assigned to a basis only contract?

I'm hearing a similar deal (positive basis, and in this case basis the straight across difference between mgex and local cash price). Makes me wonder if grain co's think grain is cheap and heading up or if this is really a reasonable deal for off combine movement.

Grain companies may be trying to hedge the Canadian dollar's drop to 0.70 cents. By this fall the US could be in recession which means the ROW (rest of the world) will be in full 1930 style depression.

There once was a creeper named LQQKY
Who sometimes from high school played hooky
He'd drink beer in his car
                Or go into the bar
And out to the field to have nooky.

There once was a chick from Wawota
Who thought Muslims were over their quota.
                  She loves food that's organic,
                  But this gal's no mechanic,
                  So likes Chevys over Toyota

On Agriville we got to know bucket
A farmer who posts with a musket
If he wrote with more care
He would at least appear fair
And he wouldn’t make others say “**** it”
