    Should read 2014 not 2015!

      Maybe statscan could report it.

Maybe the government could look into it. Full sarcasm intended.

      But seriously.

I have no problem with them upgrading but at the least send some of the returns back to farmers.

It's just a matter of opening the slides to blend properly. It's not rocket science.

Sometimes it's just cleaning which farmers pay for.

What I am interested in discovering is whether or not the initial reports that as much as 35% of the crop was a 3 and another 15% feed is going to show on the exports before the end of the crop year.
If not, either it is upgraded, sold domestically, trucked to the US or is still in the bin on the farm.
If it's being upgraded are the farmers getting a share? There is usually quite a spread between a #2 and a #3.

I would be more interested in the price at port when loaded ship. I know customers buy CGC grade but the more relevant factors in pricing are likely to be quality specifications and competitiveness with other exports based on these attributes. In the old world, you paid initial payments but there was still no knowledge about what got loaded ship grade wise versus what was required in the contract. Didn't care in those days. Understand why you do today but maybe is highlighting there has to be different thinking about how western Canada sources quality and how you are paid for it.
