    Durum seed

What are others hearing for values for cleaned quality durum seed. Local values here are $20/bushel plus. Have a seed grower friend currently moving what he calls some of his marginal quality durum seed south of the border for an obscene amount of money. Anyone with good quality might have some lucrative opportunity. After some of the latest quality reports it looks like the durum market might be set for another run up.

I think off spec, anything shittier than #3 less chance 2% fuz has ran it's coarse. Anything better will find its way to a seed market or at least bring a huge premium.

Will maybe clean up some old three year Durum that I still have its 12% heated. Then will do a germ test and see. Might do 500 acres.

Does anyone know if there is a place I can send a sample of durum to get its actual variety?

I think the bin I have is avonlea durum.

But I might have switched to strong field.
