    Marketing - Canola....

Little things continue to show signs of how bad market manipulation is and was all last winter
    - ADM opened Nov contracts - 10 days ahead of NOV
    - ADM just sent out a text of accepting 10.5 mt and up to 6% green. The only time would have been after the 2001-2003 drought and 2004 frost.
-Positive basis on wheat getting better every couple of days - at the tail end of harvest.
The point is, there are many things pointing to how bad the grain co's - all of them , scammed farmers the past 10 months on the whole huge crop and rail movement b/s. Right now if you wish you could pick up the phone and have all your 2014 crop sold and moved by Dec easily. And yet we were all told that low prices were here to stay, can not move your grain from 2013 till 2015 unless you sign a contract for this shitty price. Also had a gun to some producers to tie in seed sales with shitty varieties just so they could sell a few b trains before spring. This whole thing is a huge black eye to grain co's and most marketing exerts all over western Canada .
    Canola up again this morning.

Wheat basis improving likely because of an improving export scenario in part thanks to depreciating Canadian Loonie. Still a fair amount of canola out there, old crop or new. Record ****seed crop in Europe this; top 5 crop in Australia; record soybean crops in US & South America all adding to oilseed supply. 2-year pesticide ban in Europe likely the best catalyst to take canola back above $500/MT

Everyone we deal with buying or selling IS the competition. Only one of us gets the better deal at a time. Wish farmers could BS the rest of the industry to our advantage. Oh ya, too divided, too many varied financial situations to stick to one idea. And so "they" win more times than we do.

Careful furrow, you'll be blacklisted with an attitude like that and that tone of language.

I thought all was well after the flood gates of the open market were opened?

Ritz's advisors will tell you everything is normal.

Transparency would have told many this situation a long time ago.

Instead it highlights the collusionary practices of the graincos.

The advisors will say I promote conspiracy theories.

          The facts don't lie.

i call bs on why wheat has gone up , canola too ! its because farmers have finally woke up and locked their bin doors and now that is has become so painfully clear of how bad we were screwed last winter it will take a lot more than this little bit of increase to open them . our "partners " just got a touch too greedy !

Lock the bin doors, dont sell until we get back last years basis. Would be nice to see 50 vessels in vancouver waiting for grain and with the country elevators empty.

At least last year gave me lots of opportunity to find honest grain buyers south of the border.

Wait for $9.80/bushel then "pull the trigger".
