The World Health Organization released a statement saying that the Ebola virus can live in semen for 70 to 90 days.

Living in the U.S., it is not by any means "easy" to contract the Ebola virus. As this NYT article reports, in order to contract the virus, you have to come in contact with an "infected person [who] is experiencing active symptoms." And Mother Jones reports that once a patient has recovered from the virus, their saliva, sweat, urine, vomit, feces are Ebola-free.
However, there is one bodily fluid that can hold on to the virus for up to 90 days after infection: semen.

Studies during past outbreaks of Ebola found the virus existing in the semen of two male survivors 61 days and 82 days after infection. And a 1999 study identified a woman who may have contracted the virus via semen from a recovered patient.

Because male survivors of the disease could be capable of transmitting the virus sexually, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that survivors use condoms for up to three months after contracting the virus.

In 2000, a group of researchers also discovered a case in which a mother whose blood tested clear of the disease appeared to have transferred the virus to her baby via breast milk. The baby eventually died of the disease. The researchers could not say conclusively that the disease was transferred via breast milk, but they recommended that mothers wait a few weeks after recovery before breastfeeding.

China Battling Their Own Epidemic... "Dengue Fever" Spreading: China is currently battling a severe outbreak of "dengue fever," a type of viral hemorrhagic fever, in the same category as Ebola. Both are caused by different viruses but lead to similar, deadly symptoms. Dengue fever is less lethal, but much more easily transmitted, spread through mosquito bites. Ebola is only contracted through bodily fluids. Southern China has reported 1,000 new cases of dengue fever every day for the last week, with over 23,000 cases having been diagnosed in Guangdong province alone. Chinese authorities say recent hot and wet weather fueled the outbreak, with mosquito numbers up five fold. The recent National Day is also being blamed on the exponential spread, as hundreds of thousands of Chinese traveled across the country for the week long holiday. Guangdong remains the worst hit, but the provinces of Guangxi, Fujian, and Hunan are also reporting new cases of dengue fever daily. Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan are also reporting cases. Malaysia’s infections are triple what was seen last year, and Japan is witnessing its first outbreak in 70 years.
