0% combined of 3500 acres. 800 of 1000 acres of canola swathed. Most barley swathed, 1500 wheat sprayed and was standing until last night as well. 6-8 inches of heavy wet snow with more in the forecast. All wheat either flat or stooked(sp?) now. Extremely frustrated, disappointed, and anxious.

That's a lot of cutting for one swather - right on

20% of 3,600. All swathed, all sprayed except oats, letting it freeze to straight cut. A properly set up Macdon is a thing of beauty, I only wish I would have learnt how to do that years ago. .75" and near freezing weather is f@cking with my chi. This is turning out not to be the year to only run one combine. That said before the latest monsoon I was crushing 30ft swaths @ 6.2mph, next to nothing for loss and it was yielding pretty good.

On a deere 635F I prefer the fine serrated knives.. Have 2 running side by side and had to change it arse knife for a fine when the one couldn't cut the tough green crap... Seems to tear rather than slice on a 635F .. Different guards tho.. I would like to shove all those stubby guards up John deeres ass sometimes

Just checked radar/weather, how the hell does shit weather get so STUCK in the same place and will not move??? Still heavy snowfall for Calgary area!!!
We missed it all this time, but have had the crappy weather when all the rest of you kept on harvesting/seeding. Sorry to see this hit anyone, but hope the forecast is accurate and we all get at this harvest. Hang in there.

Am i the only one who finds it odd that the premier ag site of western canada has NOBODY but farmers themselves praying away the problems we face?(minus Charlie and Lweber who seems to give a damn),you would think the odd guy would pipe up and say we are pulling for you.......deafining sound of silence...

No elevator reps, chems, machine dealers, and all the concetric circle jobs that revolve around ag.

                  But **** eh,we get paid eh,so who gives a *** eh...

However, no one but farmers and businesses we deal with post, so your original point is correct…. The average joe blow doesn't give a crap as long as food is in the grocery store and at the restaurant.

Don't worry Cotton, they are turning blue for holding their breaths because their success entirely depends on the farmer. They don't get paid if there is no crop.
