Does anyone know the new ab premier jim prentice?

I saw the conservatives have a new leader. What does everyone think of him? Will be good for farmers and agriculture?

Here is all you need to know:

"...Some of the biggest names in Calgary’s oil patch backed Tories’ new leader."

He is another puppet for big oil, so no change. The interests of agriculture and farmers in this province will continue to be thrown under the bus in the pursuit of petrodollars.

People will find he is Allison squared. Bring on an election and bring in the Wild Rose. They've developed a pretty sound platform and dropped the so-con stuff.

Political parties can build the most elaborate sophisticated platform you've ever seen but after they're elected will they continue to stand on it or tear it down and build a gallows?

Caught him in the cloak room at his Chinese campaign dinner with about 650 little Chinese folk and a couple of us Caucasians. Wonderful fellow who promised me that him and I would be discussing beef going to China in the very near future. Followed him out of the dinner and accidently had him turn into my cowboy hat one last time. He's not a lot taller than many of my Chinese friends and looked a little shocked. "You again", he said as he once again promised a chat as I handed him my business card.

You guys are not suggesting that Jim will not help us send beef to China are you?

The PC voter turn-out was at best "pathetic". He received around 17,000 votes in this so-called last bastion of rugged individualism.

Seems like interest in the whole process sagged somewhat when it came time to vote. Of course the usual complaints that they couldn't get their vote recorded with the new computer based system were aired. The PCs couldn't organize a dog fight let alone run a province OR an election.

If I lived in Alberta I would vote Wildrose.

Seem similar to the Sask Party.
