We are too but they really are unofficial, but I think a good guide. I think as long as the sample is representative you should have a good idea but without the cert.......???

I make sure the samples I pay to have done are representative and that is so important. The Crooks could argue that point but we are pretty diligent while unloading. KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE!!!!! DON'T TAKE THE "BUYERS" WORD. THEY'RE TRYING TO GET IT FROM YOU FOR AS LEAST AS POSSIBLE. It can be a real eye opener and amusing as to how either incompetent or blatantly obvious their down grading efforts are. It also can get your blood boiling.

We are on the CGC harvest sample list for the first time.

They sent the sample packages quite quickly, plan to start using them on about Sept 10th.

I think yall need to understand this... fusarium WILL MAKE YOU SICK. YOU CAN NOT EAT IT. END OF STORY. IF IT I'D IN FLOUR THE BREAD WILL MAKE YOU PUKE.

Don't try and sneak high fuzz in at the bottom of a load. It's not something to be played around d with just like ergot

Yes we get our grain looked at by the harvest program at cgc also.

Klause, if its directed at me my statement did say "little". Not referencing heavily infected. "Little" was not meant sarcastically.

That practice will bite you in the ass. Don't misrepresent your product. The mistrust I rant about can go both ways. Once caught expect the microscope everytime.

I ate about a gallon of my hi fuzz wheat last year and no problem. In my opinion and a lot of others klause is that it is over blown.

Don't worry Partners, in afew months it will be a two. They won't pick it as hard....

I'll never forget that time I had some durum I wanted to get off the back of a truck(bins were full). I took a sample into the terminal and they "picked" it from a weighed sample. They weighed what they picked out and it came up a two, they "looked" it over some more and picked it harder until they had enough to make it a three. I would have never believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes. Needless to say they never got it. And people wonder why I may be a little cynical????

I think this grading will be a mystery for a while.

What % of fusarium is allowable for #1, #3, #3, Feed?

I would assume this will also vary between different grain companies (similar to protein deductions or green in canola).
