Drews Fall Forcast! Buy a Grain Dryer for us!

Well just got the fall forecast for our area and it looks like frost will be staying away for a little longer than normal in our area by one to two weeks. Good actually great now the bad news.
Rain rain rain, clear cool warm hot. Repeat.
Very few good harvest days in a row. Those with drying capabilities might get it off those without its going to get interesting if his forecast stays true.
Ah farming, No one said it was easy.

We have bagged as high as 18.5% moisture and it kept till spring but once we opened the bag it had to move. Our local elevator did three bags then shut us down. The last 1500 in a bag heated.
This year the plan if the forecast does come true is to take HRS up to 18 and bag not bin then after harvest start the dryer and dry and bin.
Not pissing around if the weather turns wet like the forecast says for Sept. and Oct.

If you leave it long enough it will eventually dry to a hard enough material where you simply take a chain saw and cut it any shape or size you like to fit your grain truck load it with bale fork. Lol. Wet and grain bags over any time do not work.

So oxygen is the killer then. No anaerobic activity? Plan to remove by April if tough.
            18 seems a sensible limit.
