Pardonnez-moi! Qu es que c'est? Is this truth or fiction? I was driving grain truck at 11 years old. At 13, my dad would load up the 3 ton, I would drop it at elevator and pick it up empty after school. I drove bale tractor at 7. Supervised by bale pickers' yells. I survived and so did my sons who were only too happy to help us at an early age. Does the government have the right to tell you what you can and cannot do on your own property? Don't think so.
Make sure and google the whole story not just the half that came out first.
It wasn't about stopping the parents from having their kids do some work in their farm business - it was about applying proper labor protection to other kids under 16 that they were hiring.
I quite agree with the authorities on this.
I had a kid under 16 running my high clearance sprayer more than once. My nine year old was weeding garden with me. Wanted to run mower bit too unsafe alone that one. Well at least my kids work for food and lodging not alcohol. I have no regrets for labour and things learned when I was young. Keep everyone safe.
