    Canadians Want Softer Pot Laws

Regina Leader Post this morning reports Ipsos poll that states tnat more than 82% of Canadiams want Dr.s to be able to prescribe Marijuana and majority want possession to be decriminalized. Maybe there is a cropping/marleting opportunity in our future. Probably not, but P.M. Harper might like to take note of the nation's sentiment.

Do you know what would happen if marajuana was completely legalized? It would be worth as much as alfalfa hay. Only the fact that it is illegal keeps the price up. Same with most illicit drugs.
The marketing opportunities are for the criminals.

I agree. Potheads would love soft pot laws. Glad to see the police are coming out with the means to sniff out and remove drivers under the influence of pot.

A harmless drug? HA! If young Trudeau is for it; Never mind, won't go there...

The government has no right to dictate what people can and cant due to themselves, all drugs should be legal, its the victimization of others is when the law should step in.

Maybe we should have a law saying fat people cant eat at mcdonalds?

Its only until they take something away from you,is when people wake up.

Even hitler, mao and stalin had the support of the people.

          CP

There are dozens of ways to get under the influence of something or other.

Sooo why not have the CWB the Canadian Weed Board so weed doesn't become the price of alfalfa... and we can corner the US market! I forgot BC already did corner the US market!

Move to BC and dream the dream CP... the likely hood of conviction is very low out there... especially on the island!

          Cheers!

I dont smoke pot and wouldn't if it was legal,or stick a heroin needle in my arm.

Just like every other single ****ing person, get it?

What if society said you cant go to church, and 50% of the population wanted to burn them all down?

Think i would help you out?

            Your damn right i would.

I might eat a brownie, but don't smoke or even know how. Everyone used to get stoned and say, "man, you must be immune, man". Maybe I'm like Bill Clinton. Ha.

Serious side is, Trudeau will win just on the legalization of pot. The Conservatives will miss high and wide. Pun intended.

                  CP,
If 'Do unto others as you would have done unto you... makes me guilty... then guilty as charged I am.

In Mid-east countries today where Christians of the faith do get jailed or worse for simply expressing that faith.

Isn't that where we are headed here in Canada?

Will I be surprised when this happens here as well?
                  NO.

Having taken weed or having been intoxicated will not be the determining factor when we pass over into the next life. As a conservative I put this issue in the same category as: gay rights, abortion, being intoxicated with alcohol etc. We reap what we sow. As will our civilization.

The hypocritical religious leaders of Jesus day got the strongest words... of condemnation... for their hypocritical judgements:

Matthew 12-34"You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. 35"The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil.…

Mathew 23:15"How horrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You cross land and sea to recruit a single follower, and when you do, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are.

23:27"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

23:33"Snakes! Reptilian sneaks! Do you think you can worm your way out of this? Never have to pay the piper?" (MSG)

For these words of truth... these judgements...The world killed Jesus for exposing truth and those of hypocrisy through killing him in the most inhumane gruesome death possible.

I am for personal responsibility... it is our choice.. we make it for ourselves... Our destiny is our responsibility. Creativity and choice are at the base of our civilization... and my faith.

                  Cheers

It really helps with the glaucoma. How's the song go, "I can see clearly now . . ."?

Do unto yourselves as you so desire, but don't expect the rest of society to pick up the pieces. Health care and social assistance and other social crutches that help people be unaccountable. And no, I am not absolutely stone cold hearted. Those programs have a need, but not a need for abuse....

Tom, I was in Nelson, BC last week and went into a little novelty shop. I saw a bumper sticker for sale that read "I found Jesus and he's passed out drunk in my back seat". For some obscure reason I thought of you.

                            Cheers
