      Agree agstar.
Whether it is cash in the bank or grain in the bin, these have been traditional safeguards.
In recent years, many of us have come to rely on crop insurance and AgriStability as well.
For those farmers with a production margin of $100 per acre or better, AgriStability offers a substantial degree of coverage. Some complain about reduction in support level from 85 to 70 per cent but it is still a mostly taxpayer provided benefit not available to other business.
A significant drawback is the delay in receiving funds and knowing how much. Grain in the bin or cash in the bank still helps us sleep at night.

Chatting with another farmer yesterday. Relative was preparing to seed this spring at a 60 $ rent when landlord phoned and said he wanted 90 settled at 75. I wonder how that deal looks now.

2" south of the valley since yest. afternoon. Interesting watching that on Radar. At one time it looked like a buzz saw blade. Nine inches here on the season so far.

Cotton I agree on a pulse plan the market came with such a discount from last year on peas. 8.30 av to 6.25.. The peas have huge issues along with lentils which also don't like mud. Told Cargill on peas I would decide on Monday. I think my rep knows what I'm going to do since he farms also.
It was a fun super cell to watch its, swinging back from the north and raining at Canora again!
World Cup, good book, sons of anarchy marathon, rider game, wine, vodka, or beer it's a indoor kind of day!
