One thing that stands out is the struggle by
various governments to satisfy farmers, grain
handlers and railways.
Much of the present situation facing Harper and
Ritz has roots in previous government actions and
it is likely not fair to blame them any more than
Trudeau, Otto Lang,Pepin and others.
The legacy of prairie pools and wheat board
political pressure against elevators and railways is
still present but slowly fading.
Time to grow a bigger pie than fight over a smaller
