    Done your COP homework?

    Here is my effort/WAG...assumptions needed...

Fixed costs based on 2013 actual= $145/acre, includes (honest estimate),
$39/acre machinery depreciation, $19/acre fuel cost(should be similar), $6.50/acre machinery repairs
Fertilizer applied and paid for, herb and seed costs finalized for year end.
Variable costs all per acre, canola=$115, wheat=$90, barley=$98, oats $68, (never sprayed any fungicides or insecticides in 2013) (in Sk Crop at 50% discount)
    Total COP/acre for 2014, canola= $260, wheat=$235, barley=$243, oats= $213
Change yield est all you want to justify seeding any crop, be realistic, not 2013 yields of course.
    I assumed at 35bu/acre canola, therefore breakeven= $7.43, 45bu wheat= $5.22, 65bu barley= $3.74, 100 bu oats= $2.13
What are others using compared to these #?? I have AgExpert and Field Manager, so the spread sheet is easy to what if as things change.
It's a long winter guys, the only "test" is real life.
