Cargill Announces Canola Crush Plant at Camrose AB

At a site just east of Camrose Alberta, Cargill announced that a new canola processing facility will be built that will be ready for the 2014 crop and will be able to handle 850,000 tonnes of specialty and conventional canola.

Great news. Finally somewhere new for Alberta canola to go other than for export. With the new plants popping up like mushrooms in our neighbouring province to the east, I was beginning to wonder if Alberta was on anybody's radar!
This speaks well of the confidence the world has in canola production and the quality of canola oil.

Sounds like that's where canola grows best.

The site is one mile east of Camrose on highway
13 and then south about a mile, between the
Camrose ring road and highway 56 junction.
