How did the oats yield this year?

We did not grow any oats this year but I have heard there were some pretty good yields?

Sucked in the RR Valley of MB, north of the #2. Dried out, maybe 105. I don't know anyone who is seeding it next year. I guess Sask. can have the stuff all to itself in '13.

From 30 to 80 in our area. Wind from hell took lots.
      Barley yields less than wheat.

About 105 thick but seems the wind did
take some yield. Not our best but not our
worst. Will grow more in 2013.

SF#, how was it that oats wasn't affected by leave diseases or rust to the same effect as other cereals? there was soooo much rain and humidity in the first 2/3s of the growing season. or not effected by the leafhoppers. Varrieties must be much better than they used to be! What oat varriety do you grow?

Before wind 135 after wind 80, no bs. We
normally straight cut all the oats, but
this year the wind did a lot of the
            harvesting.

              In MB did around 100.

Poor quality though.... stained and very
              light.

In SK, we had 2.75 acres acres of the
stuff, no fertilizer, no spray (it's a
cover crop for my significant other's
horses' hay)... Took it to the elevator
              and had 378 net bushels.

              #1 44 lbs.

Boarder it did get a leaf disease after herbicide.
Seeded late only 240 acres. Couldn't get the other
field seeded because of our rm not fixing the road.

                    boarderbloke, it was furlong.

No, swathed... it was left standing too
long, the straw was broken by the time the
big wind rolled around so no damage...
