Despite looking like a bumper crop, yields are pretty average in central Alberta around Red Deer. Now this is just my best guess from talking to several farmers. Some fields were affected by disease, without a doubt.
Wheat did fairly well (around 60 bu/ac), some barley is light weight (less than 48 lb/about 75 bu/ac). Canola varies but generally about 40 bu./ac
