    Non-GMO canola

I was at the local Viterra elevator today and didn't realize there was a premium for Non-GMO canola. Apparently they take it to their crush plant and it's $15/mt over the picked up basis. Basis levels were better than regular canola as well. Didn't know they offered this, has anyone else seen it?

Yeah long as it's clearfield and binned seperate seems to work. Signed up a couple loads at 8 under picked up for Oct so 7 over at my bin Regina area.

Isn't the Clearfield resistant to the Odyssey herbicide? Wouldn't that make it a GMO too?

          No foreign genetics are introduced
therefore it is not transgenic, hence,
non gmo by coincidental and ridiculous
          definition.

          However, clearfield utilizes
          mutagenesis, scramble up the existing
genes until you happen to stumble upon
          the right desired characteristic.

          Worldwide, transgenic is gmo,
          mutagenesis is not.

Mutigenesis is old old technology and really no
different than traditional breeding. Just makes
            chance happen faster.
