Yeilds in this area are all over the place. Peas 10 - low 50's. Wheat v -good. Canola I have heard 20's to low 50's.
Harvest is like an old B/S engine here, run for a bit then quit. North West of here crop quality is taking a beating with high winds and rains every 2 days. Sprouting and mildew will be showing up in cereals in those areas. Showers off and on for the next three days yet.

Furrow i talked to family member in Wakaw
and they said its just every other day a
rain. The wife cant even get to the garden
to dig potatoes. Dont need that.
Also heard from a friend in Humboldt that
things are all over the place.

That is how it is here in east central AB
SF3. Just canola cut with some peas done.
So far, 1 day we got to harvest. And the
wheat was 16. This morning if it was sunny
we may be able to go this afternoon with
the stripper header, but its dark and
cloudy and looks like rain. Hopefully
things change.

Rule of thumb around here....go away for the first three weeks of Sept on a holiday and then give 'er!

We had a rain shower early this morning
just at the farm now! oh well should
finish swathing canola today.

Combine swathed wheat Sat at 16%, then 2/10" by 2 pm. Swath last canola Sunday, combine wheat again yesterday. Dried down from 16.5% to 14.7%, cloudy this morning and shitty forecast! Go stop, go stop, lots of fun.

Did some barley and it suprised me went around 70 and 54lbs i think the fungicide helped it. Started cps wheat looks like around 60, ten bus short of what i usually get but for this year not bad. Canola remains to be seen the wind raised hell with the swathes yesterday definatly some loss there, swath looks like 40bus but im sure its not there.

Wheat sprayed with Caramba at flag leaf 58bus, strip not sprayed 49bus. You can still see the strip in the stubble. Not sprayed was lodged and dirtier sample as well. HRSW
Doing canola check strips in a day or two depending on the shitty forecast.

Top dressed HRSW with 60-0-0-20 at 2ltr /ac (about $3ac) we gained about 1% protien so that paid as well.
