Ok get better pictures because that's not bad. If
the stems are dying sclerotina but from the first
two crops heat stress at flowering. Still a 25 to 28

I thought mine was a result of seeding some on lentil stubble but checked the stuff seeded on cereal stubble and its the same thing. Infection levels here are low but scattered throughout the field (5-10%) with some isolated pockets a little worse. This is something we now have to be aware of and assess risk accordingly from here on in this area. I never knew this prior but most data I have read since seeing it suggests the yield loss is typically half the infection rate. Therefore 50% infection results in a 25% yield loss etc. Is there any truth to many just doing the 1/2 rate split apps of fungicide and then not doing the second application?

Saskfarmer: Let's say it "could" have been 40 bu/ac. Now you think it may be, say, 27. That's 13 bu difference at (pick a price)= holy shit I should have sprayed. LOL. Nobody to blame but me.

Send picture of the underside of the canopy with
stems. I'm betting their is jack shit you could have
done to get the crop any better. 37 temps at
flowering with wind is your yield robber.

Sask: the yellow tinge of the top of the crop is simply an extension of what is below it. It should be a green colour not yellow for the number of days it is seeded. Flower blast will leave blanks on the stems not white and grey discoloration of the stems below the pods--come on you've been farming long enough to know this crop isn't right especially with all the info I provided.
