Thanks to Agriville, Rockpile meets per

In an earlier post I invited all Agrivillers to come and
meet at the Calgary Stampede. per responded and
in fact made two efforts to find me (I'm volunteering
at 2 venues dedicated to educating about our
industry). Finally, yesterday we connected and
though our time was far too short, I can tell you he
is one of the finest gentlemen you'll ever meet. Not
only is he a very successful farmer and rancher, he
is a hard working, dedicated and very involved
advocate on behalf of the industry. Finally, his
family was honoured, I believe today, at an annual
Stampede event called the 'Farm Family Award'
which every year recognizes an outstanding
nominee from his or her County or Municipality as
outstanding in terms of achievement, management
and stewardship. Congratulations and having met
you I am not the least bit surprised.
We aren't that far apart location wise and I sure
hope to catch up with per again. You know what? If
it wasn't for Agriville I would have likely never met
this guy which after 3 days on the grounds certainly
is my most cherished moment. Best to everyone.

to take his and your guns away. Glad you met,
rocky. And am very pleased AV has become an
Important communication tool for so many of us.

You are very kind Rockpile, thank you. I too enjoyed the visit and look forward to future meetings. The kudos's were fun at the BMO awards. Any place that has Prime Rib for breakfast is for sure the right place to be honoured.

For the record, I haven't met Pars so any similarity of our handles is pure coincidence.

Hey Burbert, are you one of the bulls or will I find and
get to meet YOU in the steer riding pen?

Was my daughter's idea, was needing to use some air miles before they take them away. Just thought to through that out there, should be lots of farmers with air miles and the Kathmandu works well with air miles gotta book ahead.
