        I'll take your bet. I bet closer to 21 than your 18.9. Not saying anything on production, just acres. Also, how did Drew make out on his winter forecast?

            I think we as farmers will surprise
            ourselves and hit 20.4 million. And yes,
            some of us have seeded canola into june
            and still gotten excellent results, esp.
            in cooler/wetter areas. Other than 04,
            our falls here have been getting later,
            along with our springs. Crop insurance
            is telling farmers to plant canola
            regardless. I have seeded canola out of
            necessity in the end of may and up to
            the 13th of June, and have never had a
            wreck because of late seeding. Depends
            where you are, I guess. I have planted
            canola in june at least ten years out of
            the 20 i have been farming, with little
            ill effect, but we always get water from
            the sky, and 30 degrees is hot for
            "here".
