    84 Quarters and Counting!

Another neighbor sells over the Easter
Weekend. So that puts the Area sales at
    84 Quarters and counting!
Yes he was thinking for a long while
about it. Yes his machinery was
finished. Yes his house needed major
repairs. Yes it was time. Oh yea he is
    58.
I have 24 hours to buy it all. No
negotiating for the three I want just
one day to buy all. Yard included. Like
    I need another yard.
Oh well farming is fun when you just sit
    back and say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This sale could be a BC. Pike is in but
the BC guy is the prefered buyer.

Sask: Don't you think yards with good access and utilities are a good investment. If the house isn't so good demolish it. This fellow sure isn't giving you much time to think about it.

Listed on Thursday and their was a offer
put in Good friday. No one local. We
were told about it today and its a done
      deal on Wednesday.
Oh well I would have had a really nice
      block.
Im approved for over what he is asking
but deep down my gut is telling me on
this deal to wait. He wont give me the
three that I want, it has to be all or
nothing. The 8 would all go to three
different guys if he would have just let
      it divide up.
The yard is on a highway but nothing
      special.

Well this time it will go to a BC guy who
sold his farm out their. Better than the
last deal a week ago. Starting to change a
          lot around us.

Should have bought it all and sold off the
            unwanted pieces.

boys and this is one of them times.

Geez, I don't think, In fact I KNOW, that
in my 20 years of farming, there has not
been anything near 84 quarters for sale in
my area. I don't even think half of that.
Maybe a quarter of 84! In 20 years.
Anyways, glad you made a decision you seem
happy with. Hope the new neighbors are
good ones for you. Have you met the bc
                guys yet?

The guy from Gerald is planting 46,000 acres this
spring. Good on him but I wouldn't want it. I kinda
like being the dude responsible for everything.
From planting through to harvest and then the
                    marketing as well.

I am impressed by some operations huge multiple
unit machinery lineup. But envious I am not.
