Who Got the Big snow event. Land Blowing by Balgonie

Just drove back to city and seems land
is blowing south of Balgonie. Yes SMF
but hey the one field is going good.
Also the Construction sites around white
city are really causing a issue. Home
    owners getting sand blasted.
But hey were drying down nice. Huricane
winds today but snow is all gone and
runoff is done in regina. North Valley a
    day or two.
So how much snow did alberta get and
West sask and will it amount to anything
    for moisture.

Saskfarmer3 this is a personal question, but on another topic thread you were quite forthcoming about how you arrived at your position as a 3rd generation. So is there going to be a Saskfarmer4?? Feel free to tell me to mind my own business, I was wondering because my situation is similar.

I do have sons. 1 is just a teenager.
They help out and get paid. Work mostly
with their grandfather. He is showing
them how things are done. I do help, but
        he is more patient.
Both know that they have to get their
education, Degree, trade etc and then go
work off farm for at least 5 years. Its
how it has been since Saskfarmer1. Every
one left and then came back or at least
one or two. Its called see the world,
sow your wild oats appreciate whats at
home and when your ready, Welcome.
The oldest likes business and is getting
shrewed. At 16 he gets the tree spade
and he see what he makes in a summer.
        Paying basic expenses.
I will continue to work with him and
transfer power when I think he is ready.
Dad did that with us. He also gave a
quarter to each when they were 18 and
said if you loose it thats it till im
gone. You learn fast how to make a buck.
Its not easy but you learn from your
mistakes and believe me I have made a
few along the way. Still make them.
But boy Im starting to enjoying life now
        and relaxing.
Got a guy driving back from montana hell
        give me a weather report.

Nice to hear things are going to keep progressing. Getting a business education and working off the farm is esssential, for perspective and understanding the other side. All the best.

We got about a half an inch of rain last night after
supper. Most of the Red River Valley got some rain last
                night. Big thunderstorms.

Kindersley etal. got 3-5 inches of heavy wet snow. The farm here received about 5 minutes of pea sized hail too. Better now than in June.
