    Flax Plant burns

    http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/Firefighters-tackle-major-fire-near-Angusville-142480965.html

Plus... The fire that damaged a Canora-area flax fibre-processing plant last week remains under investiga-tion, a spokesman for its owner said. David Fannon of Melfort-based BioFibre Industries said the company still figur-ing out what to do with the plant, which is located at Mikado, about 10 km east of Canora. “As far as whether it’s going to be rebuilt nor not, we’re just kinda in the middle of seeing what our options are and how extensive the dam-age is,” Fannon said. BioFibre’s website says the plant processes unretted flax straw from oilseed flax, extracting the flax fibre, then processing it for industrial and biocomposite applications.
