Don't where to put so will ask here and hopefully malleefarmer will comment. The proposed suitors for Viterra will also have a major impact on Australia. Any feedback on perception there and regulatory framework for approving a merger of this type?

There will be regulatory process here in Canada but with 35 to 40 percent market share, but many including John believe this will not be a major impediment to approval. Deal ain't done but will be interesting to see how plays out.

Ya bto, why would we ever want to know what the actual price really is? It was soooooo much better when the CWB was telling us we were getting 'premiums'.

Just curious where the confusion and choas are. The US wheat futures markets are functioning very well and providing the necessary price just as they always have. They have formed the basis for CWB risk management and producer payment options. What will be nice will be a made in Canada wheat, durum and barley price based in Canadian dollars and a delivery location farmers can relate to.

The contracts grain companies are offering farmer are relatively straight forward. The CWB contracts are taking some time but will be out on the street this spring.

But we are both off the original topic. The world is an interesting place.
