How do we prepare for drought- wall to wall lentils?

Large green lentils do well with a good start.

If it does not rain here before seeding time we
will be looking to seed what gets the best return
      with crop insurance.

Will be cutting back on fertilizer and top
dressing liquid after if it rains.

Maybe you should just stick to your rotation since
nobody knows what the weather is going to do. It
is February, there is almost as many days
between now and seeding as it takes to grow a
                crop.

                    mallee, check the bbc/ news.
its not drought as you know it, but the reserviors are near empty , and spring is here in east england.
water restrictions will be imposed soon if no rain arrives.
