Cold in Europe? Hm How much Damage.

Ok we cant grow shit here in the winter
because of extreme cold temp. So if
Europe has no snow cover and the Temps
Im seeing the last few days wouldnt that
knock the Shit out of their winter
crops. Oh yea winter Canola winter wheat
winter Barley. What the heck isnt
    damaged.
Or is it all about the Money, no one has
any so cant have a sustainable rally.
Ok the USA has ps poor snow cover one
cold snap and what a bumper crop.

Some videos I saw of Europe indicated they had ample snow cover, like last year here x2.

Question is usually not a bad winter their
like our this year. But their like this
          all time.
So a dramatic cold snap wouldnt it hurt
winter crops. Which from what I know is
          most crops.

I've read about winter canola for years and it doesn't take the cold. Somebody in Grainews tried it a few years back (Ernie Sirski?) and some survived but yield was way down vs our spring crops let alone the high yields expected from the winter crop.

the problem is in ukraine/ south russia, where they expect cold like this, but usually the wheat is well established and coveredb in snow.
Due to the sep/oct drought, wheat is poor/small/ ungerminated and not covered with snow, so they are expecting heavy losses.
              half the canola didnt germinate.
minus 32c reported in poland last night.
