We love Dirty Jobs, although I don't watch
        it regularly.

Thanks to Mike for telling people what it
is like in the real world.

Mike is correct about infrastructure. I was on a village council when we needed some work done on leaking water line. I quizzed a 25 year old guy about why he joined this water/sewer company. The statistic he offered is, that 98% of Saskatchewans infrastructure is 10% past its calcuated life expectancy. This includes all major cities, hamlets, towns and villages. He is talking water, sewer and roads. In my area, the plumbers and electricians are swamped, and basically charge on the high end. Not bad living if you are motivated, not scared of a little dirt, maybe shit, and want to be self employed.

Great post. I laughed when he talked about the Vegas pig farmer. We I was a little kid my brother and I fed hogs with scraps from our family's resturaunt. You've never seen a pig go crazy until they're going after fries and gravy.
Not sure about his safety message though?
