    Wheat varieties

What un-registered hard red varieties are out
there? And, do they yield better than the
    registered ones?

About 10 years ago I grew some american
wheat varieties. They were called russ,
oxen, and some guys called one pioneer.
To me they performed like cps???? I grew
them for feed anyway, to avoid the
losers in Winnipeg. The years I grew the
two, oxen and Russ, were not stellar
crop years, they went about 50ish.
Regular hard reds were getting 40 ish
those years with frost, and late
    seeding.

Sorry I can't help you much with
performance, but I think a few guys up
    here still grow them.

So if you grow one as long as you find a market willing to accept it and declare it as said variety you are okay?
