    Cwb payment

Has anyone heard if the CWB is working on
increasing the initial payment? They are holding
back $130/mt on durum right now according to the
    Dec PRO.

I phoned the CWB on Monday. They said they applied for an adjustment to the initials on Dec 22nd. They said they are expecting it will take 10 weeks to get the money into farmers hands. The rate was from 0 to $ 45.55 per tonne on Durum and they wouldn't say which grade got 0 and which one got the $ 45.55. Hard red spring wheat, the rate is from 0 to 24.90 and the payment is on 1 and 2 wheat only. Again they wouldn't say which grade and protien got how much.

You have to be insane to love the CWB.We can only haul 75% of our crop and get paid for half of that. While the farmers we have to compete directly with get twice as much all upfront but we are always the poor cousin and have to pay the same or more for fert, fuel or equipment...

Changes and rewards usually only come with effort and the drudgery of hard work.

Did anyone think that after the eight directors sued the government any payment was going to roll out immediately?

The cwb is 75 percent called by mid year and we have only 50 percent of our money. Interestingly the railroads and grain companies have been paid 100 per cent for work they haven't done yet.

We have a 75% call but nothing shipped.I wonder about the logic of the contract calls.

Why dont you call Ritz? Tell him that he can speed up the adjustment payments now that he has got his way.No sense dragging his feet any more, his appointees are running the show now.
