    Anyone get snow?

With a forecast of 60% chance of flurries we ended up with close to 6 inches overnight, and still coming down. Hopes for a dry start are getting slim.

Nice work on the forecast, weathermen!

    Had a couple inches here east of Vegreville;
looking for all we can get with the super dry fall
    we've had.

I just went out to feed the animals. We got between 10 and 11 inches. From the house it looked like 4-6. had my chore boots on, and it was an inch from the top and they are a 12" high boot. We had a foot or more already, now we are looking wet again...

        valley is different.
        Light dust in Regina.

Edmonton is white - likely in the 2 to 4 inch range.

West side of Lake Diefenbaker and finally
got some snow last nite. Now if the wind
will just leave it alone. Trying to give
us more this AM but is really windy. My
winter wheat needs some before it gets too
                cold.

Yeah, I hope it stays there for you. Are
you supposed to get -38 a couple nights
this week? That would be bad with no snow
                  cover.

Looks like about 12" on highway N of Wadena.
Hate that wind. Huge drifts in yard.

Yeah, I just came in again. A solid foot.
And that wind is right! There will be a
large runoff yet again. Wathch out fishing
                      lake!

buggar is, my snow tracto is 7 miles away,
and the forecast is for bloody cold.
Better go plug him in and bring him
                      home...

Overcast. Road bare. Flakes threaten ever so
often. A covering of snow in most fields, but little.
Wind is threatening like a turkey gobbler. Not
cold, but chilly enough to kill any fat survivor
cutworms. Could go for a walk in my runners.
                        Super winter. Pars

Sorry to here about your snow freewheat. I must live closer to Pars that you. When I look out my window I see grass and dirt. Which kinda freaks me out since the last time we had a winter like this was 2001. The following growing season was dominated by drought and grasshoppers. I remember harvesting a 7 bus/ac wheat field that year. Ugly.

Every year I wait for that same kind of day. Bitter
snappin' cold. Sun glaring bright, Not a breath of
wind. Clear sky. Dead quiet. Door squeaks. Boots
crunch. Bites your face. A day like that is in my
genes. I do love it, you know. Pars
