Are we headed for a dry spring/summer?

Hello all. Just wondering if anybody has heard what the long term forecasts are for moisture this winter. Where we live (SW Sask.) we basically have no snow aand have had lots of wind since before Christmas. I know there is lots of time left for winter, but I am starting to really wonder what spring will offer us!

Too early to tell. We have been dry at
this time of the year before but have had
it turn around yet. Although, we haven't
had a dry year for a while now so the odds
    may favour one now.

Seeding in the first week of May would be nice for a change. Dry soil would be awesome for a change. A return to history is long overdue. This winter is awesome to behold.

Globeel warmining is a crocka, carp.
Isn't it? Only the opinion of the crack
pots on Angriviell seem to count, during
Gag discussions! Who cares bout the North
anyways, it'll be easier ta mine now that
its warmer. And we kin now plant lottsa
corn and soy in the future toooooo......

Breadwinner, you should be outside fishing
today, not beaking at subburbert! My kids
have used their last soother, I'll send
one to burb. Just need an address. Central
              Winnipeg, burb?

Yous guys/gals should stick your pointy
tiny weiny little heads, up where the sun
don't shine. Just like your failed
ostrich framer Gag minister, whose still
in hidin, spendin time wit his family me
guesses. Guess global warming isn't fer
yous folks eh? Cousin its science based,
                  not BS based........

If the weather keeps it up ice fishing might get a bit scary. Almost no snow left here, kids enjoying every minute of it.

Here is my spring weather order...

                      A little dry during seeding.

Some nice regular rainfall when needed by the crops for high yields.

                      Nice dry weather during harvest.

This the opposite from the miserable weather we had to deal with this year.

No snow in southern Alberta. Plenty of wind and
a couple of fires today. Hopefully things will
                        improve by spring.

Dumb question but do you guys dry sow cereals
wait for them to emerge then get weeds later or
always wait for weeds and sow into clean
                          ground?
So different than aust the saying here is were
there's mud there's money it's just the opposite it
seems on the orators a tad on the dry side
doesn't seem to bother you to much

Typho sorry but you got the idea of the post.

When does it get critical April may?

Here we have had a decile 3 for our growing
season but produced best yells ever but we had
7 inches of rain last harvest which got the crops
                            through

                              malle,
Seeding ends about June 1, sooo near
perfect conditions are rain on the
                              Victoria Weekend May 24.

We do have an old saying:
'Seed in the dust... and your bins will
                              bust'!!

Put more hours on tractor plowing snow
last year, than seeding... so we are
frozen up with no moisture loss to start
                              till April.

The guys are just getting itchy feet for
                              spring to come!

                              Cheers!
