    How bad is Argentina Getting!

That is our million dollar question.
Seems some reports are normal crop to
just below normal. Read this morning
that the area that got rain over the
week is like comparing Canada to huge
rain just West of Medicine Hat. Basicall
pasture sheep ground got down pour. Soy
and Corn. NADA. Just seconds ago a new
    report.

    The Damage Has Been Done
Last week’s rains were not enough but
the heat was. Over the past two weeks
    crops have
    deteriorated significantly across
Argentina, to the point where very few
    areas match or exceed the
    10-year “crop health mean”. Serious
    deterioration is noted in numerous
    areas.
So maybe 2012 we will see an improvement
in Prices and Early Dec will be the
    lows.
    Hey its early.
Now we are white after yesterday.
Sledding is on today before the heat of
    Mexico.
Still tough to push bush as ground is
not frozen enough to get near water with
    cat.
Fertilizer seems slow for sales just
guys who are doing end of year for
    taxes.
Now funny thing at elevator from seed
guy. Lots looking for Durum seed in our
area that never seeded it before. They
see higher values than HRS and are going
to seed it in 2012. Funny since my
projection for our farm is down 500 to
600 acres. Now these are guys who
have'nt grown Durum ever or at least 10
    years.
So from My family to yours HAPPY NEW
    YEAR!
Welcome in 2012 with new Marketing Year.

Family that farms in Argentina is saying crops look
"good"... not excellent, but average for sure.

I would think if we'er hearing about it,
it's bad. When I down there last March, a
little too much rain was actual 10 feet of
          water over top the highways.

If I rememeber correctely is this not about the exact same conditions as last year? Hot and dry until about the middle of January then a good amount of rain came. Which produced one of their best crops.
