Google communism definition Agstar. You see
as soon as private property is confiscated and
used for the public good, I believe it fits the
    definition. Prove me wrong!

        Agstar said,

Who wants to deal with a crown corporation without marketing power, no financing and no ability to control product.

#1 I believe the feds are going to continue to guarantee the necessary financing.

#2 why do people still believe the myth that the cwb had any kind of special market power?
They just didn't. Any buyer from anywhere in the world, even Canadian buyers could buy from many other sources. Canadian CWRS wheat is no different than American DNS. Just because they said so in the Western Producer or MB Co-operator back in 1968 doesn't make it so.

Back in the thirties the pools thought they had market power by holding wheat off the market and they went broke in the process. That's why we have a friggin wheat board. The feds had to bail them out (pay off the banks)then take the grain and dispose of it. The 1935 board was created to dispose of two or three years of Pool wheat.

So if I had any advice to any future director of the cwb I would say NEVER and I mean NOT EVER think that any one entity has the ability to manipulate the market. Billions have been lost by having such delusions.

#3 control product??? are you talking controlling the flow of product into the system? That's what a real basis does Aggie and it controls it much more efficiently than an ivory tower bureaucrat while still allowing a individual producer to sell for cash any day the market is open.

I-F your right, no wheat has ever been confiscated or even expropriated but what has occured for the last 68 years 2 months, 16 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes is our RIGHTS OF OWNERSHIP have been stripped from us. Which is the right to sell that which we produce and own to the buyer of our choosing for the best terms we can negotiate.

"Your private property isn't confiscated numb nuts."

Canada Customs and court documents prove Goodale did in fact confiscate private property. So does the jail time done by 13 grain growers.

And the strip searching of Andy 49 times... Dave Sawatsky being acquited and Goodale putting the GOC order in 15 minutes later.... to shore up the CWB 'single desk' that didn't legally exist before that moment... that didn't happen either????

The right to sell your product has never been taken away. Another myth. Buy back has always been there , just not at the sweet deal you want. All this about is a few elite wanting to cherry pick the market. It is all about the money.

Agstar, you mean all I have to do is buy back my own product first before I
can legally sell it? Sounds legit to me. Is that how freedom works?

Cherry pick the market? Really Agstar?

For quite some time now there has been some pretty low hanging fruit available, if only our wheat was ours to sell.

Agstar 77 "its all about the money" You're damned right its all about the money. I have every right as a Canadian citizen to legally make as much money as I wish and the gov't will tax away any portion they wish. It's not the CWB jurisdiction to limit my earning. God I hate socialists!

This has nothing to do with socialism or communism. This is about dragging everyone down to a common level; and using the loopholes to get a personal advantage; or at least keeping as many others from having any advantage over another's personal gains.

to agstar re the buyback and cherry picking.

Your way of thinking is the ultimate cherrypicking. You cherrypick the point that the buyback is available, yet you ignore the fact that it's almost always set at such a punitive level that it never makes any sense to do it. The cwb TAXES all the profit out of it. And you ignore the point that we are required by law to sell it to the cwb first before we get a licence. That requirement is the part that strips us of our ownership rights.

Yes Aggie cwb supporters are the ULTIMATE CHERRYPICKERS.
