Interesting quote from the judge

Even the judge isn't sure

"Justice Douglas Campbell said if he rules in favour of the wheat board, his decision may have little impact."

"It's up to the minister how he takes it, Campbell said Tuesday. "It's a statement that the court makes."

Sounds like it was a real waste of money.

Gregpet ... If he rules in favour of the CWB the
ruling may have a lot of impact.

Kodiak thinks the Parliament will repeal the Act.

I think this would be efficient.

However, it would remove the CWB from
comparisons of effectiveness after Aug 01, 2012.

I wait the adjudication with much interest.

Cheers... Bill

gregpet,

"Detractors say they want the freedom to seek better deals on the open market. They point out that producers of other grains, as well as wheat farmers in other parts of Canada, already have that freedom."

So much for the CWB Board of Directors respecting the intrinsic and basic human rights of those who were honestly supposed to be protected by the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Guidelines the CWB was supposed to govern its actions by.

I am a 'Detractor' because I believe in freedom of choice and personal responsibility.

Oh how far the mighty have fallen.

It sounds like the judge has already made up his mind. If his ruling will have little effect, Is it based in law? A court ruling based in law is enforcable.

Malta the Judge's ruling will be based upon the
interpretation of the law, having considered the
cases/arguments presented.

It will also depend upon the ideology of the
adjudicator to agree to the presentations.

Note I haven't said facts.

Many adjudications are unbelievably illogical,
especially when highly regulated or substantial
financial issues have been challenged.

Cheers .. Bill
