Seems A Big Gun from Toronto was out to Inspect his Farm with a warning to his workers. Make money o

Seems a Big dog from Ontario was out this fall to inspect the farm in Saskatchewan. After two years in Business he had only one sentence to his workers. Start making money for our investors or its over.
Ha funny gee it rained and rained for two years, or what ever else mother nature threw at these guys yet on paper its suppose to make money.
Fricking makes me laugh, its farming where you seed in spring and with a little luck mother nature works with you to give you a decent or average or below average fall. Then the markets adjust prices to fill orders that are out their and finally you have your ending results.
Mr Big time prospector one in 10 is a Barn Burner you'll make so much cash if the stars align you'll shit your pants.
Then 5 will be average to just above and guess what 3 will suck and one will almost break you.
    That's farming 101. Simple.
The toughest place in world to grow a crop is western Canada or Northern Europe. Short season is unforgiving, one screw up or weather change and your done.
But after watching these magicians who come in with investment cash by the boat loads and then think just because it works on paper were smarter than the guys who have been doing it for years. Their is always same results.
They pack up their bags and go home usually after 5 years. Ah only three to go, Have a great Friday, markets are up and dollar is down.

Funny how people with big money think that they can out invest and outsmart mother nature. Luck and carefull management is right S/F - that will beat out investor money every time.

The suits always underestimate the smarts it takes to prosper in the real world of farming.

The combination of factors it takes to prosper, long term, in the real world of farming, is often underestimated.

Five years, not that long with the cost of inputs.
            Keep your cash handy.
