    Canola Variety trial 2011

Just looking into what Canola Variety to seed in
    2012.

In 2011 we had DuPont 3153 and we were very
    happy with it.

There was a Canola Variety trial 2011 done about 3
miles from our farm last year and Canterra 1990
    came out on top.

What are opinions on Canola Varieties here on this
    forum.

Link to the Canola Variety trial 2011 below.

I didn't have any 3153 but a neighbor did. He said it did about 10 bushels more than his 7345. He swathed it 11 days later than the 7345. We got away with that this year but most years that would be a disaster west of the 5th. 5440 is still the best variety we have but it appears Bayer is bent on taking it away.

We had 3150 in 2011 and not 3153. We were very
        happy with it.

        Thanks for the link.

You might check out the Farms.com Yield Data Centre. Seed companies are posting their test plot results online for farmers to find.
