representatives look and act like wheat board
drones, cold and miserable, and damn near
ready to go off on their own, crawl into the
woodwork, and die when the next cold spell hits.

Outside the House, about 20 supporters of the Canadian Wheat Board, including chairman Allen Oberg, gathered on the steps of Parliament Hill this morning, supported by Liberal and NDP MPs, to attack the government for rushing through legislation to strip the board of its wheat and barley marketing monopoly. Debate on third reading of the legislation is expected later this week, meaning the bill could be off to the Senate by the middle of next week. Oberg said his delegation <b> hoped </b> to meet with senators to encourage them to oppose the bill. The Conservative-dominated Senate is expected to give it quick passage.

single desk, RG rants. He says Govt can't slate
around supPly managed issues.
