    options

GF In your example if you paid 17.51 for the stock &got 1.80 premium you need to subtract the.51 which gives a
    premium of1.29 net.

Where does the 0.51 cost come from? There was no mention of the .51. OK, a quick double check would suggest that, because the option strike price is $17.00 and the current price is $17.51, that at this time, the stock is 0.51 "in the money". This has to be calculated/deducted from earnings of the options premium you have collected to show a true ROI?

Suggestion. to whomever runs Agri Ville why not
start a whole new section on Stocks and Option
trading. It would be so refreshing if we could get
away from the big fight on here at least for a little
while and not go off on some tangent pissing
      match about something else.
i would be there every day because i for one have
been at this for years and realize there are people
on here that have forgotten what i think i know
even though some of them think i am Lord only
knows who. The time for the big fight with CWB is
over because it is over time to move on to
something else and this new topic would interesting
      refreshing and productive.

Allis, I agree, as much as there is relevance to the other issue, I would like to learn a skill to improve revenues. Your suggestion would allow something extra for farmers who are interested. Kind of the old "learn something new everyday" thought.

Theres not enough traffic for everything to be
scattered everywhere else,if you want to post
something about equipment you have to put it here to
get a response,as long as the title of the post topic is
clear we should be able to skip over stuff we are not
          interested in.

I would like to see more marketing stuff to.

wlc - Yep, I know you have to deduct the 51c if you get excercised at $17 - that was factored into my interest figure of 7.3% in that scenario.
