Did i hear right?

CTV news carried an interview with Ward
Wiesenthal of CWB. If i heard him right he said
two very refreshing things .That the industry had
to prepare for a future where they would have to
look after their own grain movement etc. He went
on to say that the CWB had the expertise to be a
valuable partner in the future and had a lot to
offer in a new grain marketing world should the
CWB mandate change. I wasnt drinking and i
dont do drugs so i think i heard that there is
some realization at least with the staff that
change is coming and they hav to figure how to
deal with it.

I heard something similar and was in such shock that I wasn't even paying attention to whom the CWB spokesperson was. Too bad this attitude comes so late; after all the damage they have done to themselves.

Ward is kissing ass to keep his job. Who else is going to hire a guy that did nothing about a 250 million dollar loss in rogue trading????

I don't know but that is a different tune from Ward than what I heard from him during my trips to the C2C meetings a few years back.

Besides if he believed it, he would have been gone from the board long time ago and working with Measner to integrate their position in the western independant terminals to build mission into a competitor.

Won't speak specifically but I do know some Board VPs have healthy brains.
Heard recently that going overseas lately with the "Stalin 8" and some VPs was a comedy the way the directors seemed to herd the vps not letting them out of their sight.
Heard also the directors have been acting this way toward each other for years. If you didn't agree you sat in the hall for the meetings.
We could see the directors removed sooner than later and then certain smoke can clear.
