Jeff Nielsen: why I resigned from the CWB board of directors

Today I talked to Jeff Nielsen to get his reasons for resigning from the CWB and to find out why he is making this decision now. See the Video

I doubt if Jeff Nielsen was EVER pro-CWB so it is no surprise that he would resign. Just more ammo against the CWB I would say. The timing was predictable.

For the one thousand and first time, just because someone isn't for the single desk doesn't mean they're not pro wheat board.

Nielsen and Vos did the right and honorable thing in the face of irrational, ideological, bullying.

Whether you agreed or disagreed with Jeff and Henry's position they did reflect the views of the majority of the farmers in their zones. The fact that they were marginalized at the board table and other functions the board participated in means that the board also marginalized the producers in those areas. So when the board claims the government won't listen, they have to realize that they aren't the only ones not listening.

I would like to thank Jeff and Henry for their work to make the CWB more relavent to my farms needs for marketing of wheat and barley.

Better phone your local real estate agent and get the farm sold. PS Write the recipe for bread down as I am sure that will be lost to civilization after we have a voluntary CWB.LOL
