    MF Global Files for Bankruptcy

    MF Global shares were halted in premarket trading on pending news. The brokerage filed for bankruptcy Monday morning after an effort to sell itself to Interactive Brokers Group failed. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange said that customers of MF Global are limited to liquidating their positions. MF Global will no longer be recognized as a guarantor for floor trading.
