    2012 wheat acres

    who is growing more wheat next year? I
    am reducing my canola and increasing
    wheat and peas.

    All same as thisyear durum is down and I
    won't go back up till newer varieties come
    along. Peas ill be back to normal next year.

      Little more wheat this year. May try some CWRS in place of the all Soft. More wheat due to rotation issues, open yet to other grassy crops.

        I am assuming we will get to seed it all next year so yes, twice as much wheat going in the ground.

          Keepin the same here, 1/3. Did not get w/w in so all hrsw and see what next fall brings. Peas and canola look to stay relatively strong so no reason to change for us.

            I will grow wheat for the first time in
            years. Anyone guess why???

            I think I'll do 500 or so of a cps type
            wheat. Hope us farmers don't "bid
            eachother down". HA HA Bid each other
            down. lol

              Our wheat acres will stay the same. We have a few extra acres that we are thinking will go to malt type barley. There are some new varieties that show some promise.
