    Wow you guys have cheap fuel

    $1.42 plus 10% gst here 150 kms from terminal.

    ULP $1.35 plus gst

    MAP Fert $603 locked in july 11

    Glyphosate 510g/l $3.80

    Wheat currently $240 apw standard.

    Canola $563

    Feed Barley $222

    Land $400-500 yield 30-40 bushels yep way overpriced land direct costs to farm per acre $50 to 60

    now you can see why were miles behind,for you guys everything is way cheaper on the praries and yields far greater hmmm to old to relocate anyway

    mallee-you didn't say anything about your freight to salt water. We have Rocky Mountains on one side and Great Lake system with lake freighters, canals, reloading and unions on the other. Our third option is only open a few months because of ice.

      The grass is always greener on the other side. No matter where you farm, there are always enough leaches along the way.

        Mallee here are some numbers from western Saskatchewan.

        Diesel $1.01/L net taxes
        Glyphosate $2.90/L (360g/L)
        Canola $495/T
        Feed Barley $176/T
        Land $800-1000/acre

        I haven't priced fertilizer lately. I hear it is shockingly high.

          Correction, my latest diesel bill was 92.5 cents a litre net.

                Where I live in Helberta the oil price per barrel has gone down about $20 in the last while but the pump price has not moved. !@#$% crooked snakes are ripping us off but good.
