Where are all the grain bags?

Just a quick question, where are all the grain
bags and piles on the ground,
    3 from yorkton to Regina.
Must be good under ground storage.
Simply put, I think it's shaping up to be a
    average crop overall.

Better go about 30 miles north west of your Foam Lake farm, there are lots, huge crop in that area and all the way to saskatoon.

Many are fortunate there but had nothing in 2010. Its too bad all couldn't have experienced it.

Lotsa bags in kelvington Wadena region. But I think it has more to do with the crops, Barley and oats, than the greatness of the crops. Just a fair bit of barley around here for some strange reason...

Look at the the western producer, check page five - the vegitative index map. Thats where all the grain bags, piles are. An area bigger than you think.

Tisdale, and area I heard has lots of bags.
Some farmers just use them around here.
Did not even start the swing auger.
                Cart to bag, simple.

Wrong SF3, Alberta has amazing crops. Canola yields are phenominal as are wheat.

Not all Alberta has good crops. Corridor west has lots
of areas where too much rain took serious toll. Our
crop will end up below average. plus is quality is good
with #1 canola and 1 and 2 Wheat.

I used bags for 3 yrs no more. Built 235,000 bu grain storage this summer. Bags are temporary storage impossible to haul out of in winter. Push snow one day blizzard the next. Oh yeah then they tear, its an on going problem.

                            Craig,

How's harvest progressing? Are you having to go around many potholes or have they dried up? Whaet has been nothing special NE Edmonton, canola and barley surprising to the upside.

The deep South East corner of Saskatchewan may not agree but I suspect that eastern Saskatchewan and Manitoba are going into the late fall a lot better than a year. My memory is of the fall of 2010 is saturated soils and the prospects for another tough 2011 spring (came to pass). Going into 2012 (lots of things can happen), things are looking better. Comments from Alberta so need to be corrected if I am wrong.
