Where were you on Sept 28, 1972? Henderson scores.

I missed it, our teacher did not like
hockey. We heard the whole school cheer.

I was in school in small town Alberta. The teachers were divided on classes or hockey. The hockey side one out and the whole school was watching. The grade nine teacher was more excitied than anyone when Henderson scored the winner. 39 yeras ago.

That should be the hockey side "won" out.

We watched it in Mr. Wright's 10th grade geography classroom. Mr. Wright was former military, and an alchoholic. He kept slipping out of the room while the game was on. I doubt he even knew anyone had scored.

Was that the series where canada was getting their
ass's kicked by a better team so they had to resort to
cheap shots like breaking the best players ankles with
                sticks?

Yea that was the one cotton, the nhl was warned by Father David Bauer to take the Russians Very Seriously as he had alot of experience with the Canadian National team (all amateurs)

It fell on deaf ears. I remember we were in a lecture theatre in Kelsey watching on a big screen. long time ago now

Mussy, it must have been a CWB screen with
subliminal single desk messages that were
imprinted in your memory. That explains it! Pars

One of the happiest hockey moments of my life.
                      Still gives me goose bumps.

Crosby's goal in Vancouver is just behind it.

72 was good but Mario from Gretzky in 87 still gives me goosebumps. Perhaps because I was only in 4th grade in 72.
