Had one small area of a field (only part of the quarter dry enough to seed)... 120lbs/ac of N, AC Andrew (certified seed), 75lbs of S15, sprayed with Everest 2,4-D, treated with CruiserMaxx cereals....

This is a confirmed-in-the-elevator yield number, and this is pretty much the average over the whole piece ~16ac or so... elevator corrected was 137. 14.1 moisture (my yield monitor's a little off).

Was the Massey saving all the grain at 1360 bu/hr? If so, all one needs is 3 860's and some hired help and you could take out more grain in a day then these new shiny half million dollar machines!

I agree with your sentiment. On Kijiji there was an 860 for sale with a pickup and 24 straighcut header for $6500.00.
AT 137 bu/acre, sometimes you have to leave some for the birds and mice. Otherwise you will not get any crop next year.
That was how my 80 yr old Dad would regard small spills in the field/bin yard.

1300bu/hr in SWS is pushing it... I can, and have, run at 1000bu/hr all day long though... The 1360 is a bit high for bu/hr for the 860.

In HRS if it's a decent-to-thresh variety I can do 800 - 900bu/hr with a straight-cut head and chopper going.

It was funny... I took part in the Food Grains harvest a few years ago... My 860 with a 20' head kept right up to a 2388 with a 25' head and passed a 1688 with a 20' head... mind you the straw was tough that day.
