The price the cwb offers are port position. You have to minus the freight and elevation.

The price in bottineau is net in your pocket.

Anytime I've hauled to the US, (usually Bottineau), terminal wheat was wheat with some "damage". It seemed to me that it needed cleaning or blending at terminal to make it acceptable for the customer. I think milling wheat could be cleaned at the elevator for shipping as it had less "damage". Note that "damage" would mean fusarium, ergot, mildew and any other downgrading factors.

I think this is right. I was a lot younger when I did this and didn't ask enough questions. I was just so excited to be getting the kind of money we got for wheat at that time, which was the mid '90's. Buybacks were a nightmare but a lot of how do spell finegilling made it work.
